It is located on the ground floor of the National Library, and includes more than 8,000 publications in both Arabic and English, authored by Bahraini writers and books about Bahrain as subject, in addition to PhD dissertations and Masters theses. The hall also contains publications of official government institutions, issues of Bahraini publishing houses, and copies of the Official Gazette.
This hall considered as one of the most valuable halls that guarantee the preservation of the national intellectual production.
This hall also houses the (National Press Archive), which keeps original and copies of local newspapers, magazines and periodicals, including: the first newspaper published in Bahrain and the Arabian Gulf, "Bahrain Newspaper" issued in 1939, Al-Qafila Newspaper, Al-Watan Newspaper, Al-Khamila Newspaper, Al-Mizan, Al-Masirah, Al-Qafilah, Al-Adwaa, Akhbar Al-Khaleej newspaper, Al-Ayyam newspaper, Al-Waqt newspaper, Al-Wasat newspaper, Gulf Daily News, Gulf Mirror, and Bahrain Tribune. Among the magazines: Voice of Bahrain, Echo of the Week, Videotronic Bahrain, Al-Masirah, Al-Mawakif, Al-Hidaya, Al-Wathiqah, Bahrain, and Gulf Panorama.
